Hi all, so I have asthma and obviously with covid it’s a worry. I have had Both jabs but yesterday I met up with an ex of mine and one thing led to another and then I found out she’s just finished her 10 day isolation period as she had covid. Would she of still been contagious? She said her most recent test was negative as she works in a care home. As I got asthma and I suffer anxiety obviously I am a bit worried I might get it now

Question about COVID
I think the purpose of the isolation period is to keep you away from the general populous while you are at most risk of passing the disease, but I do not think there are any guarantees. That said I've somehow contracted Covid, now on the mend and would say I've been worse in the past with flue. I'm mid 60's and double jabbed
I'd schedule a test for yourself in 3-4 days for peace of mind. You can also buy them online now. Try to relax, you are probably fine since she had a negative test and you are vaxxed but I'd double check with a test next week.
I would think it is unlikely that she was still contagious, but I can understand your concern. You can get tests for free either from your chemist or from the government website. You just pick them up ( or in the case of the government website, through the post) and do them at home - assuming you are in the UK
I would think not. The isolation period was recently reduced from 14 to 10 days because you are most contagious in the first few days of infection.
Hi all, so I did one of the 30 min tests yesterday and today and both was negative. So hopefully I’m just over thinking things
