You should see the benefits after several weeks, with optimum affects by 8 to 10 weeks. You should have a review with your doctor at the 8 to 10 week stage in order to discuss your progress, potential for adjusting the doseage or alternative treatments, if necessary.
We're all different and what suits one asthmatic doesn't necessarily suit another. And trying to find the right inhaler/meds is down to trial and error. Never hesitate to say, after a decent trial period, that a medication isn't working for you and you're ready to try an alternative.
