Unusual blood test

Hello all,

I recently went to set my asthma specialist who said all my values were great and my lung are not far off normal excellent I thought but...... Every couple of months I have a flare up green phlegm, tight chest blue inhaler not working. and needing pred for a week or 2. My specialist wants me to drop my inhealers by 1 dose every 3 months. I lasted 2 weeks then had to go back up to my usual dose. She asked when your asthma gets bad can you get a blood test. So I went for the blood test today my doctors surgery had never done one before and had to find the right bottle colour etc. The test was called a 1 L dash 5 test and was in a amber coloured bottle. Does anyone know what this testil is for.?

Much appreciated, after speaking to the asthma nurse a hour ago she said it was to measure inflammation of some kind. Thanks for the response
