Hi I am on fostair also montelukast. Although there is a big up rule with people regarding side affects etc of the Montelukast when I was younger and was on singular (Montelukast) I had some really terrific side affects especially hallucinations, I was really nervous to try it again as an adult but now I can't express how good it is!!!! I would deffinetly reccomend trying it and seeing how your body copes with it as if your body agrees with it, you will not regret it.... My son is also in this and the difference it makes to our lives is life changing!!!! Hope this helps if I can be of any assistance please do not hesitate to ask.

I think what is often shared are the times when it hadn't worked - so it seems as though it's renowned for being awful for side effects but many many more people take it with no bad effects at all. People like to latch on to the negative too!

Glad you were brave enough to try it again - good for you! Also glad that it's working well for you. Really nice to see a positive story about it!

I find it really helpful too! I’m glad you were brave enough to try it again! I do get some very random dreams but I can deal with them! Hope you continue well !!

I've taken montelukast for the last 20+ years with no nasty side-effects once my body got used to it. The difference it made to me being able to get a night's sleep was/is tremendous.

I took it 20 years ago and had to come off it after 2 weeks due to how severe my nightmares were. Started back on it a year ago with zero side effects. I was nervous but genuinely surprised I’ve had no issues.

I have just been prescribed this and am worried as I have suffered with serious depression in the past. However my asthma is so bad at the moment. Despite Fostair, 5 days of steroids and antihistamines my chest is so tight. The Dr has suggested trying Montelukast, and I am hoping your positive post will be how it works for me too.
