Hiya 😊, I use an Air purifier PureMate Air HEPA Filter, it helps to get rid of mites. I have 1 in our bedroom and 1 in our living room. I have been told or better I have read it that it helps with dust mites. I don't know if we had them. But since I use them it definitely helps with dust and pet hair.

And we actually sleep better since we have them. Just have a look online for some with HEPA filters. Best of luck and stay safe and warm 🍀🍀🍀🍀

Hi. I use Air Free incinerator type air filters(silent running and very effective), dust mite proof mattress, duvet and pillow case covers, and BioLife HomeCleanse anti-allergen spray. All available from a company called The Healthy House online. Regular hoovering and 'damp dusting' also helps!! I am on Cetirizine antihistamine during the day, and Piriton and Montelukast at bedtime, plus a steroid nasal spray(Beconase or Flixonase are both OK).

Hi thanks we regularly boil the bedding and steam rugs ect. Have plants in bedroom. Always had anti allergy stuff. I take. Montelukast and antihistamines 20 years. I have tried dust mite pluggins and filter before. Nothing seems to work anymore.

I was and started with mattress covers, damp cleaning etc

Back in 1975 when it started I had allergen tests, found I had allergies to cats, house dust mites and human hair, and then a series of injections to counter the allergies. I'm not sure if this NHS still do these.

Hi they still do injections but i do not qualify probably due to the cost. I have brought a really good air filter according to reviews today, will see how i go with that.

I assume you’re dusting the radiators (that’s between the fans as well), have hard flooring and don’t store anything under the bed?

It sounds as though you’ve tried most things. You say nothing seems to work anymore; you are sure it’s dust that is the current problem?

Thank you for the replies. I am under the hospital and they tested me completely as my lungs were so inflamed. The only allergy that came back as being allergic was dust mites. They tested me for all common allergies and it showed i am highly allergic to dust mites . Right at the top of the scale. everything else not allergic. My allergy has suddenly got worse as i have gotten older.

I struggle to breathe all the time now. I am on the strongest medication they can give me. So the only option is to try and reduce dust mites as much as possible. And all the cleaning and steaming and anti allergy stuff has not worked. I got a 0.3 micron filter coming today for the house. See if that helps??

So been been running this filter for the last 3 days and not made slightest bit of difference so far. Not confident going to help.
