I am wondering if I am the only one. Are there any other people out there with dust as a trigger to their asthma?

Hi I'm allergic dust, waiting to hear from Consultant on rest blood tests. I take fentofexdine, at the moment my asthma all over place since covid 3 months ago, still on steroids, puritan. I find wearing mask can help when doing housework consultant said do this years ago before covid.

I have only just started to be able to wear a mask where necessary. I have had blood tests along with advice and it has helped but a pain as I am cleaning a lot. I hope the rest of the results are helpful. Do you find the steroids help?

Do you take asthestimes to help? I used to part time cleaning had to give it up when my asthma got worse. I find now I can only do small bit cleaning over few days then don't do any at all can flare my asthma can be wheather, pollen. Steeoids do help on high dose. Now on slow tapering my asthma still uncontrolled . I'm waiting to hear from London Ashma clinic.

I do not use anti histamines that much I try to avoid situations that affect me but obviously it is difficult. I use wet wipes and a mop to clean rather that sweeping and open windows. I have heard bronchial thermoplastic may help me but unsure.

It is quite common in my country. I live in Karachi which is a coastal city. During the months of October and November, we experience land breeze instead of sea breeze. This results in dust raising winds which affect many people who are asthmatic. It adds to the problems that are already there. Steam inhalations, nebulizing comes to our rescue

It’s a very common trigger. I’ve just had the results of allergy screening via blood test: dust was one of the things they looked for. I’m came out at level 4 (severe) apparently.

Yes dust is one of my major triggers. I especially find it hard going into shops that are dusty which is a park n.

All sorts of dust and moulds can affect asthma, pet dander, pollens - all can be allergens,so anti histamines help in that respect.
