Just wondered if anyone has used any of those mucus clearing devices that say they improve lung function etc
Not sure if they are all a con or they actually help

The Flutter appears to be highlighted several times in online web pages of the NHS and Great Ormond Street. This page from the NHS re Bronchiectasis highlights ways to clear mucus and has a section on devices...nhs.uk/conditions/bronchiec...
I use the huffing technique that the respiratory physio demonstrated and that always works for me if I need to clear mucus. But no doubt as I grow older I may need extra help from a device that does the same thing. My physio stressed the benefits of breathing exercises as it helps the lungs long term. And listening to my niece, who is a physio, harrang her brother when he cracked a rib over his reluctance to do his breathing exercises because of the discomfort made me sit up...she explained that if he didn't do them he was likely to get an infection or even pneumonia.
Either way, it's good to expel that mucus and use the whole lung.
