Apart from my own issues, I am an unpaid carer for an adult with complex and multiple needs who is clinically extremely vulnerable and in the group due to be have jab by mid February. I get support from a local carers centre.
I got an email yesterday from the carers centre saying the are working with the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) to get unpaid carers the Covid jab sooner than later. We were asked for our GP surgeries to give CCG to get our invite.
Personally, I am either in group 6 or from next month group 9 so if I can get earlier as a Carer will be pleased.
Just wanted to put that out there, don't know if Carers Centres everywhere are doing this.
Carers Centres provide invaluable help, support and training opportunities for unpaid carers and this is another way they support us. They often work with the NHS CCG's
