A change to my normal Asthma pattern

Hi all

Since October when i have been locked down reasonable constantly and living in a centrally heated house, my breathing is far worse - the Clenil is not preventing and the Ventolin not giving its usual relief

I also have an itchy face (no rash) and i mention it as the timing is correlated with the breathing

Anyone have any thoughts

Chris

It sounds like you need to speak to your GP or asthma nurse as things don't sound controlled. Or try calling the Asthma UK nurses?

Buy a humidifier it's dry air i bought one a few months ago because i was waking up coughing during the night and it's helped me immensely i have gone from a few nights a week to once a month

Great idea

Irony is that my mother in law had a damp problem in her kitchen and i purchased a dehumidifier the day before last

Possibly very dry air ? I have a little magnetic humidity measure and I can definitely feel a difference when the humidity drops. Most noticeable when it gets below 40%. Also have found that a facial steamer helps. I use it before bed. The bonus is that my night time moisturiser seems to be working miracles ! Lol!

Haha! Now you have to tell us more! Lol! I just wanted to say that the little humidity measure was from Amazon and only cost a few pounds. I had a “cup” steam inhalation device from Boots for years but tbh as soon as the hot water was in it cooled so last week I got an electric facial steamer which is much more effective. Just have to be careful to use it on a flat surface so the water doesn’t spill as it is boiling. You don’t need much water in it though. 😀. Here’s wishing you a Christmas that is good enough 🎄😷🥂

I don’t think mine wa even that much! It works fine though. Oh the other thing I bought recently is an air purifier. Seems to work too. A bit more expensive than the humidity measure but I’m hoping it will help. 👍. My Christmas pressie to myself😂. Merry Christmas to you too. Oh, I take it from your name that you are a doggie person? 🎄
