I'm trying to work out whether my symptoms could in fact be anxiety.
Before I start to struggle, I almost always get really hot and sweaty, this continues until my breathing has calmed. It's like a little heat siren that I need to rest and take my inhaler. I am only 32 so it's very unlikely that it's hormone related but I will double check with the GP.
Is this normal for asthma or could it be an anxiety response.
Thanks for all the answers previously given. It's so hard to find answers on Google as it seems that asthma can be so different for everyone.

Feeling sweaty etc is a symptom of panic attacks so could presumably be an anxiety symptom too (as opposed to a panic attack specifically).
Hormones may play a part (not necessarily in you but at any age) as I know of several women who find things (asthma and non-asthma) are worse at different stages in their cycles.
