Had flu jab on Tuesday, felt fine Tuesday and Wednesday but Thursday, pain in hip joints, arms wrists, hands and calves , and felt very tired. Had early night, this morning not so tired but still feel achy/chill like in arms, wrists and legs. Had been on prednisone three weeks before and recovered from chest and infection about week and half ago. Thinking it may just be body saying bit overloaded at moment and I need to take it easy. Although with having had asthma flare up and chest infection over past couple weeks do feel been taking it easy for a while and just want to get back to feeling normally,

Flu jab reactions
My doctor mentioned that, if you have had another infection shortly before you have the flu jab, then you can get immunity overload. I had a week of problems with it this year (5 days last year), but seem to have now recovered. The over-65 version has an adjuvant, which stimulates the immune system and makes you feel worse - but I still reckon it’s better than catching the real thing!
PS There’s some recent evidence that people who have had flu jabs are less likely to get bad COVID - no-one yet knows why, but could be a useful added bonus.
Did you feel worse after the flu jab. I have no problems with prednisone and it always improves my symptoms. With a flu jab I am very unwell. Have had 2 in my life both very bad reactions. Keep a food medication and symptoms diary and if you start to feel more unwell I would contact 111 or your dr for advice. Let us all know how you get on cheers. J
Thanks- happened after Flu jab, took it easy and was back to normal by Saturday. Friday did get back to working but found did have aches and pains in arms and wrists still.
Hoping you start to feel much better soon as it’s horrible feeling unwell and after the flu jab it takes a couple of days to pull round. J.
