Hi all, just a little word of warning. I am just recovering from flu. My appt for my flu vac is Nov! And yes my asthma is severe!!
You do not want to catch this ! At one point I tried to get out of bed and was so weak my legs wouldn't hold me and I flopped to the floor. There I had to stay until my son came and picked me up. Of course it triggered a chest infection.😢
This is nasty so please, please get your flu vac !!

Sorry to hear your poorly. Any respiratory illness is awful but flu is especially nasty. Just went to the pharmacy to get mine done but the pharmacist didn’t think I was well enough to receive it after pneumonia 3 months ago. I’ve also had really bad reactions to jabs in the past. My asthma is unstable as well. It needs to be administered by a GP when I am well again. It’s left me with a real fear of vaccines on top of a needle phobia. I had worked myself up to it as well.
I'm sorry to hear you are so sick! The vaccine hasn't come to our pharmacy yet. I will go bug them again tomorrow. Thanks for the head's up and feel better soon!!
I had my flu jab this morning. Went in last week to make the appointment and it should have been end Oct, early Nov but she found a cancellation for today. The nurse said the jabs came in yesterday and that the adult/under 65 jabs are all delayed because they were updated following the flu season issues in Australia.
