still the same : 2nd day no brown... - Asthma Community ...
still the same
Your asthma just changed and the brown inhaler is not strong enough for it. Happened to me. I am on fostair 100/6 and I am fine with it and have been for 3 years
what does that mean sorry? ive been taken of it not put me in anything else they said i could of outgrown it xx
So far so good then Shannon if no change in symptoms👍🏻👏🏻 that’s great news. Have your questions written down ready for your review with GP/asthma nurse at the end of your trial off the brown preventer. X
still the same Echoblue so scared 😔 i dont no what else to say or ask xxxx
No change in symptoms is a good thing. As I said, so far so good, take each day as it comes.
Write down any and every question you have so when you see the clinician you will remember them all. The over riding question you have been asking is the key one that should be at the top of the list “do I have asthma?”. If that is the key one concerning you then that must be on your list. Have a look back through some of your posts as there are a number of questions you have asked which obviously since we can’t diagnose, we can’t answer, but they are valid questions for you to ask your clinician and can go a long way to giving you peace of mind. Keep that piece of paper (or in the notes section of your phone is a good place as that is likely to be with you) and you can just add to them as you think about them.
When in with a clinician it can be easy to get muddled and forget what you wanted to ask, but having the questions written down helps ensure you ask them. You may also want to write down the answers so you can refer to it when you need. X
There won't be a change if your body doesn't need the medication (as it won't have been helping in the first place). As Echoblue says, this is a good thing.
If you mean your chest is still tight by "still the same" that's because IT'S ANXIETY. Stopping or continuing a medication for asthma will not make your anxiety better.
You need to talk to your GP. Actually go there (not just say you're going) and say "is this anxiety? What can you do to help me?" If you did, nothing will ever change.
Well you’re still here so that’s one less thing to worry about! Live your life, get on with it, it’s a gift so so many don’t have
it is all i am wanting to no worrying about is asthma..but hearing different stuff im not knowing what to believe 😔 i just feel like something bad will happen coming of it or being on it because i just dont no xxxx
what am i supposed to believe 😔 everyday im thinking well somethings going on 😔 xxxx
Hi, when you say brown inhaler l assume it a a form of steroid. lf l stop taking my Flixotide steroid inhaler l don't get the chest tightness symptoms for a month, but then l need to take my ventolin reliever every 4 hours to cope. When starting up the steroid doses again it takes 3 weeks to attain easy breathing. Take each day as it comes, different types of steroid inhalers have a different active half-life. If after a month of stopping steroid inhalers and no asthma symptoms return, then it may be that you will have 'outgrown' asthma. l would always keep a reliever with me however, just in case of a sudden attack. I hope you have outgrown asthma, good luck!
ive got the tightness still and its three days xx
Hi Shannon please go on u tube and look for the honest guys they do wonderful videos do anxiety it will help you so much even if you are anxious about another illness or just anxiety they are free 😄 also three members of my family have outgrown asthma as they grew up
🤗💞💐
there is so much i am worried about mainly this really because as ive said been told its a “myth” or it aint easy to be told 😔 xxxx
I suspect you've been told more times by more people that it is possible to grow out of it (including those who were misdiagnosed as children) than you've been told it's a myth.
Just ask your doctor.
My Clenil ( brown ) inhaler was a life saver, haven't had a serious attack since I've been using it. See another doctor, you might have a chest infection, angina, anxiety or any number of other conditions.
yep been told loads and seen loads that you cant outgrow it..its a myth and ive had bloods, chest xray, ultra sound on chest, spirometry test pffft2017 what else can i ask for 😔 xxxx
No you can’t outgrow asthma however many many kids with asthma find that it calms down after teenage years and never returns, or is a lot less of an issue. You have also been told a few times that you are from the generation where thousands of kids were misdiagnosed with asthma. Put it this way - you had to be told my your parents you had asthma as a child... as a ‘kid with asthma’ and as a coach of kids with asthma, believe me you would have known you had it! You don’t have shortness of breath, cough or wheeze, varying PF, nights being worse, triggers, medications that help, you don’t even know what makes it worse or what makes it better. You have had every test going to look into respiratory issues and they have all come back clear/negative so it will be a waste of NHS money to send you for more very expensive tests when they have no reason to. What you do have is severe health anxiety. It may benefit you reading this article from someone who sounds like they are in a similar position huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/...
