I do hope there is someone who can give some solid advise as to how to fill out these forms and guidance on writing in the answers they need in order to qualify,as I am finding this all so stressful to think about the answers, especially when this is done on points,so need to put correct answers, any help tips would be gratefully appreciated

Hi, the thing to remember when doing these awful forms is to be truthful, but fill them in to reflect the worst day/symptoms you ever had. Also start sentences with " I cant do" This is difficult because" " I need help with" as this gives more emphasis. Dont tell them what you can do as that wont help.

You can also request a home visit for the next stage of your application, they dont mention this on the form. So put down that this would be less stressful and not worsen your symptoms if you would prefer it.

Hope this helps a bit. 😊

Not sure what your assessment will be, but for most people it seems to be putting your arms in the air! And showing how you can walk! It's crazy, but this seems to be the norm! Also a lot of chat really covering what you filled in in the forms, I wonder if it's to make people say something different to what they filled in, so be consistent. Maybe have a copy or notes to refer too, especially for how far you can walk etc, so you can keep the answer the same. Just remember to always talk about your worse day! Not the good days, its rather depressing but if us on a good outcome.

Contact your local Citizens Advice centre as they have a lot of experience with these forms

I agree with Trimley contact citizen advice or you may have a local advice place who will fill out forms for you. Depending on your age age uk may help too. My sister sits with me and writes what I say as my hand writing not too good a relative or friend may help you it helps having a bit support. Good luck.😄

Ive just sent my form off. Its very tricky to fill in. I was honest and focused on my worst which was pretty gutting. I bury my head in the sand! I've also just applied for a blue badge and had an assesment this week. I wasn't feeling very confident but i have been awarded one. So you never know. Just be honest. Good luck.
