montelukast is making my daughter Hyper? Anyone else experienced this?

Hi I take montelukast but it doesn’t make me hyper. I was told to take it before I go to bed.

I take it as well & have no problems as take it before I go to bed

It is on the side effects list, though it wasnt a side effect I had. If it lasts maybe worth a chat with your GP(?)

My son who is 18 takes it. If anything he is tired rather than hyper. He takes it in the morning and I have wondered about changing it to before bed - however I heard it can cause disturbed sleep/nightmares. Everyone is different so if it is causing her to be hyper it’s worth speaking to your GP or a nurse at Asthma UK.
