I had a week of antibiotics and I am 100% cleared off the chest infection but I am struggling a little bit at night. I am taking my fostair like I am meant to and I am still struggling a bit as in not fully catching my breath back or it feels like a liquid fire. I am waiting if anyone had this problem and have any advice to assist me to sleep better

Not sleeping well
Did you have steroids as well?
I did not get given any as I had a slight infection
Difficulty sleeping can be a side effect of inhalers. I think some people are more susceptible than others but I do find that this affects me. Concerns about ongoing breathing difficulties don't help as I'm sure you know.
It may help to find something that lulls you to sleep, such as music, or that bores you to sleep. Many years ago, on a relaxation course, I was told to picture a room in my house and very slowly visualise in detail everything in that room starting at one corner and going round to that corner again. The theory was that you got so bored that you fell asleep. I do find that it helps, also reading and daydreaming.
I hope that some of these suggestions help.
Nothing works. I was on Doxycycline for my chest infection which I am now cleared from. My fostair is not a problem with me sleeping but ever since I had Doxycycline I have not been able to get any sleep
Omeprazole on prescription daily for long term cough. However, if the cough is shifting mucus then I put up with it.
A combination :
I know sleeping or resting sitting up is literally a pain in the arse and pacing your recovery is boring, but it works as mucus drains better so less cough -eventually.
I desperately miss my favourite sleeping position!
Also, I find reading or watching tv (not a usual habit) with hot drinks helps.
One day I'll sleep well again 🧐
They are not going away they are getting worse
