Back pain from steroids?

Cut a long story short I’ve struggled with my asthma in recent years, multiple hospital admissions, long term steroids ect

Now the lowest I’ve managed to get down to with my pred is 20mg in recent months and in the past few weeks I’ve started with bad back pain in my lower back after standing up for more than 5 minutes.

I’m just wondering if this could be yet another side effect of steroids I’m on bone protection ad cal d3 and alendronic acid already. I’ve had a lot of time off work, inactivity and weight gain which I’m sure isn’t helping either. Just wondered if anyone else had this?

I was on 80mg steroids a day for 2 years, + 3 doses of 1 gram for Vasculitis, and I had no pain. Although I did get Osteoporosis because of it. But I see you take Alendronic, which are well known for causing bone pain in some people. However, Keep up with your bone protection. Maybe your doctor could change AA for something different such as Risedronate.
