I tried to get a rescue pack from my nurse as I am having problems with my asthma and it felt like she didn't care and did not want to know. I am not sure what to do now

Tried to get a rescue pack
Hi
Some surgeries don’t like giving prednisolone rescue packs to mild/moderate asthmatics, or those who rarely have attacks/issues, as they prefer to see you in person if you feel like there’s a problem. Often it’s a GP (not a nurse) that makes that decision, as they want to be sure you know when to start it and how to handle any issues.
More important is getting an asthma action plan organised if you haven’t already. Here’s the AUK plan you can print out and get filled out next time you see someone;
asthma.org.uk/globalassets/...
If you’re having issues, try to see your GP and let them know what’s going on, then they can decide if you need steroids or not, and if having a rescue pack is necessary for your asthma.
Hope that helps and good luck
I also saw a GP about my on going asthma problem and they seemed not to care either
You could try phoning an Asthma UK nurse for advice. "The Asthma UK Helpline on 0300 222 5800. Our lines are open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and is staffed by asthma nurse specialists. They will be able to give you advice specific to your triggers, medications, and any other aspects of your asthma that are unique to you. Calls to the Helpline are charged at a local rate. Calling the Helpline should cost no more than any 01 or 02 number, and will count towards any inclusive minutes in a phone contract."
I don't know my trigger's that is my problem. They think they have worked out my problem. I am hoping the mediation I am now about to take is going to help me with my on going asthma problem
