Rescue Pack

Hi everyone I hope you’re keeping well. I’ve developed a chest infection. I’ve not had 1 for a year. The longest I’ve been with out an infection in 30 odd years. I rang my doctor yesterday for my rescue pack but was told I can’t ring to get meds anymore I had to email. So I did. 6 hours later I get an email saying I have to ring. So I did. Again. They I’m told a doctor will contact me yesterday evening. They didn’t. So rang again at 8am. Got call from pharmacist asking why I want rescue pack but as soon as I tried talking she knew. Said she would get doctor to sign prescription. Then I got call to say I would be getting a call from doctor this morning. Ok. They I got call to say come in but I said no as don’t feel well enough. So again I’m waiting for doctor to ring and desperately needing my antibiotics and more steriods. This is the longest I’ve had to wait and I’m quite annoyed as they have my notes they know my history if they read just a small amount. To top it off I’ve got no heating or hot water . Council have to order 4 items to fix problem. So just sitting here with a fan heater that I can only bear for 10ish minutes. Sorry for the rant I don’t normally moan this much. Think I’m just worried in case doctor doesn’t contact me again that I will have to go hospital. That scares me. Thank you for listening xx

Hi Fallon12, I hope you have been contacted and are now in possession of your rescue pack. It's so disheartening to be passed back and to like that when you just need some immediate help. If you haven't got the meds yet, perhaps try ringing 111 for advice?. Hope you're better soon.

Thank you I have got them. Doctor rang at 6.10pm so my chemist was closed and I had to get my brother to go to the late opening chemist. It’s just disappointing as the doctor knew I was struggling and did apologise for the time it had taken. I know they are over stretched but it just gets frustrating. Thank you for taking the time to answer me. Take care
