Hi all; I am new here. I am actually from New Zealand but when I was looking for something on GOOGLE I came across this.
New here.: Hi all; I am new here. I am... - Asthma Community ...
New here.
Hi from England to the land of New zealand welcome. Not rubbing noses together as I have a cold ☺so virtual is safe. Lets shake hands like good English people do. 👋
Welcome to the group! You will most likely find it very supportive.
Morning Jen and welcome! What part of NZ? I am back in England but used to live on the North Shore, my son lives in Hamilton. You have excellent health care in NZ. I was in North Shore Hospital for a week in 2012 (on my honeymoon) when I suffered an asthma attack - no doubt the long flight was partly to blame. Then last year the same thing, stress of long flight put me in Waikato Hospital for a couple of days.
I think NZ weather is far better for lung diseases, I'd love to come back to live but at 74 and with bronchiectasis as well as asthma, doubt NZ would want me!
Love to all my friends and family over there (Takapuna, Silverdale, Rotorua, Hamilton, Tauranga, New Plymouth, Urenui). I MISS YOU NEW ZEALAND!!
The Health System here sucks any and everywhere. I don't know about anywhere else in New Zealand but Christchurch is horrible for lung disease cos of the smog and rubbish. Love Hamilton so much. I have never heard of Takapuna, Silverdale, Urenui but have been to or been through to either visit or go through full stop Rotorua, Tauranga, New Plymouth and I have stayed in Hamilton heaps. I was told that Takapuna was in Auckland so that's really all I know about it.
Welcome to the forum. Hope you find the information useful.
Hi Jen2584! Welcome! Tho I’m certainly not a regular here, since I’m from the US, I felt qualified to welcome you. 😊 Lori
Welcome. There’s some excellent information on this site for Asthma Sufferers. Hope it helps you.
Welcome from another from the UK. We were married in Queenstown. NZ is a lovely country!
Thanks. Queenstown; I think I have only heard about this place or just visited for about a day during the day maybe. I don't think I have stayed there. Yes NZ is a very lovely country.
