Yes, one time it was so bad I only left my bed to use the bathroom. It's annoying but it will (should) go away at some point.

Take care!

I work full time too and by 2 or 3 pm in the afternoon I'm shattered. Sleeping pattern is all over the place. I have had blood tests to check and they are all normal. I have designed to the fact if I feel tired I rest and have an early night.

Have you also had your thyroid hormones tested? Because if your thyroid isn't working properly that can cause this as well. Try to get as much rest as you can.

I have had post viral fatigue and in the beginning it was like narcolepsy - I could fall asleep at any time. I'm sorry to say it took some years to improve. Gentle exercise does help, although it doesn't feel like it at first, and you may have to take time off work or see if you can reduce your hours to be properly effective at work. It can go, in the end, so don't give up hope, and its duration is as individual as the person with the problem.

Thanks for this. It's learning to listen to my body even at my age, 55. I love running in charity events and keen to get back running. I walk my dog every day and walk a lot at work. Thinking of doing yoga and gentle swimming before I go mad with running. If I need an early night I have one and say No if I am too tired to do stuff

I developed ME / CFS after a recurrent virus infection. It is really important to listen to your body and rest when you need to. Post viral fatigue is more common than people realise. But if you develop ME / CFS then that is much worse. So do take care of yourself and rest as you need to but do what you can without getting over tired.
