hi, am new here, i feel relieved knowing am not alone in this battle with asthma, i have been living with it since I was ten (now am 33yrs), but i want to ask please can an asthmatic person marry someone with Pneomonia?

An asthmatic person can marry whoever they like! As far as I know pneumonia is treatable & whilst you might want to be careful of close contact whilst they are particularly ill, once they start getting better all should be well :)

If there are concerns though of particular complications, speak to a specialist.

Assuming that's your plan, have a long & happy marriage.

I don't know a lot about the pneumonia jab but there is a vaccination you can have (I have had it). Something worth looking into?

Welcome to the forums

Pneumonia is usually caused by a bacterial infection and is treatable with antibiotics. It is not a persistant condition unless someone has other underlying health conditions which make them susceptible to it. It isn't usually passed from person to person so genrally there is no reason not to be around them; however if you have a weakened immune system it is advisible to hand back from them until the pneumonia is gone.
