Who's been glamping and how did you keep your asthma under control with so many triggers like fire and cold air

I'm currently glamping and have had a bit of an episode

Thx

Hi there Erin,

I do quite a bit of camping in tents. I do find that my asthma can go a bit haywire. However I love it so much, that it is worth it. Doctors don't approve, but in my view life is too short not to do the things I love.

I find that remembering to take meds at the right times and staying out of smokey fires the hardest. Why does the smoke always follow me, no matter how many times I move. Also dust and pollen can trigger me! but hey ho.

I would say that if I wasn't well before the trip I would probably cancel.

Hope you have a great trip. Marshmallows over the campfire. Yum

Hi we have an old campervan and it is the best way for me to get away (I react to cleaning stuff etc in hotels)

It is a bit tricky, but this is what I do - I only go to the seaside and camp as close to the beach as I can, on a very quiet site. I love fires but they don't really love me. I take all my meds and a portable nebuliser. I don't go when it is still cold at night and I try not to go if forecast too windy. I am very careful what I eat and drink.

If my asthma is too twitchy I don't go or go home early. It is all a bit fussy and I've had to cancel on very understanding friends before, but it is probably my best way to get a few nights away (so long as it's at the seaside lol) .

Only thing I can think could help with smoke is scarfie ?

Hope you feel better and enjoy the rest of your time away
