It depends on whether anything changed with your asthma during that time, such as change of meds.

If nothing has changed then its more likely to be a hormone issue. if you are worried about it ask your doctor for advice.

Thanks very much no nothing has changed with my asthma medications what I forget to say is that am on medication for Epilepsy and I also have a thyroid problem am changing from being under active to overactive on no medication for thyroid am on medication for high blood pressure I am 65 years so I thought hormones should have settled by now. Thanking you.

If you have thyroid problems then unfortunately by definition you still have hormone problems as the thyroid produces hormones. Thyroid problems can certainly cause sweating and if your thyroid problems are not controlled then it is a definite possibility.

I would still mention it to your doc as there may be something they can do to help.

hope you get sorted.

I have this issue too but don't believe it's related to asthma. Have you had your thyroid function checked recently? My sweating got a million times worse when I was hyperthyroid.

Sorry just seen your post re: thyroid problems. I would think this is the likely culprit. Why are they not treating your thyroid problem?

Thanks Butterfly I must go and have my blood levels checked again I know I have a cyst on my thyroid I was seen by an endocrinologist and she said that I will have eventually to go on tablets but they have to wait and see whether it's hypo or hyper

I had/have cysts on mine too but ended up with viral thyroiditis so was hyper. Was given medication which put me hypo and then it kind of resolved itself. Still have the cysts and am now on no medication.

The main symptoms I had for knowing I was hyper was the excessive sweating and heart rate of over 100 at rest.

I'd suggest a trip to gp 😊
