I would like to say yes, but it is not as simple as that, I have found. It also depends on the fungi and mould, and pollen, and air pressure, and temperature. On the whole I do find here in England that my breathing is generally worse when the humidity is high. We bought a mobile air conditioner for use in the summer to decrease the humidity and it definitely helped with my breathing.

As previously said it's multi factoral.

Hello Carseller99: beach environment is supposed to do us good because of the "things" in the air, and obviously bathing in that water is good. This is what my allergist and all the literature about asthma I've read so far say. You live in SE Texas and ask about high humidity; I'm writing from Spain and have family in the East coast (Valencia) and there is high humidity indeed although being the beach. I live in the South (Andalucía) and closer to the southern beaches (for you to make yourself an idea is more like California) heat is not "humid" if you know what I mean. I am also told that living by a highway or any major road is no good at all. I don't know if you sell cars or is just a nickname (nope, -sigh- I don't sell light sabres) but I imagine being exposed to all those fumes could not be very beneficial for the lungs. Ask your specialist or just go to the beach and see how your body reacts. In my case it does very well. All the best.
