The hoarse voice and voice trailing off may be as much to do with inhalers as with the asthma (I'm assuming you do have inhalers). Rinsing your mouth out and gargling thoroughly after using your steroid inhaler (often the culprit) helps. Carrying anything of weight can certainly cause issues - or it does for me, and I suspect I'm not alone.
Tks for reply. Yes rinse and use spacer. All just seems to get worse with age. Lol
Hiya, just wanted to let u know ur not alone with the hoarse voice etc, when my asthma is playing up my voice sounding funny, as the other half and kids put it, is like a little warning flag for me, I had a period just before Christmas where my asthma was really bad, two trips to a and e, spent about 6 weeks where my voice was terrible and unable to finish sentences, got no advice for me it's just the way it is, just wanted to let u know ur not alone because in my experience it's not that common xx
concur with all above but for me the only culprit is my Seretide Inhaler and it gives me a really hoarse voice but not a sore throat
I find my voice disappearing with Seretide - now I've read this I am going to make more of an effort to rinse/gargle and hope I can undo the damage. Thanks.
Yes it's a pain gargle immediately between each puff and brush your teeth as well.. I drink a lot of herbal teas with honey and suck boiled sweets. Good luck
I get a hoarse voice and short of breath when i go from warm to cold. Ie temperature change. X Sue
