I've had asthma since being diagnosed with it when I was in high school. My mum n middle sister were also diagnosed with asthma,but their asthma has cleared up,but mine hasn't as it flares up when I get too hot or cold especially with the sudden change in the temperature outside.

hiya, i'm similar in that my mum dad and brother have all been diagnosed with asthma, but now have not problems with it, whereas mine has stayed.

Join the club. Every other member in my family who had asthma as children (my son and two nephews) now either have no asthma, or (in the case of my son) has inhalers but hardly ever needs to use them. I have been told in the past that my only uncle (my mother's brother) had it as a child, and again he grew out of it. There is only one other known case: a great uncle on my father's side who died of it as a grown man, but that was decades ago, long before the modern inhalers and advances in asthma medication. I think everyone in my family expected me to grow out of it as well. I never did.
