Does anybody know when the clinics will start prescribing it - it was approved in UK for eosinophilic asthma a few days ago.

I don't really know how these things work but I did a bit of searching on it & you get the impression it can be prescribed now. I guess a lot of docs might not yet be clear in their minds when to prescribe it? I'm guessing there though!

Ah, you are right, it was approved by EU.

I wonder what referral date is - have been waiting for this injection for quite a while now - was too late for the trial

I've got an appointment with my consultant next week, will let you know. I know that they are a lot of conditions as it's very expensive - 4+ courses of oral steroids a year etc. How high are you eosinophils?

It may take a while to get past NICE. It was only last year they were considering stopping xolair permissions. And have stopped lots of hospitals from applying to give it. So no doubt they will make it hard at the start. It will probably be the same central respiratory hospitals that will end up with the job of administration. I hope it doesn't take too long for your sake xxx
