Hi,

Just wondering if any of you have had staphylococcus aureus show on your cough swab?? My daughter frequently has haemophilus but this time it's shown staphylococcus!!

How have you successfully treated it?? And now she's had it once does it mean she is susceptible to it again?? I know there is a high prevalence in CF patients etc..is it a common infection in asthma patients??

Any info gratefully received!!

Thanks

Emily xx

Hiya, I've cultured haemophilus influenza, staph aureus, and pseudomonas aeruginosa. They have all been treated successfully with antibiotics (IV three times a day for two weeks).
