Asthma cough

Can anyone offer me advice. I have asthma but its more the coughing and wheezing type. The cough is really beginning to get me down and nothing seems to help. It gets to the point were I am sick or can't catch my breath.

Can't offer much advice on here as we aren't doctors and it's a board - have you seen someone already, and if so what did they say? I definitely think you should go back to your GP asap (and if it gets really bad this weekend then get urgent help).

You don't say what medication you're on or if it's helping at all, or how much reliever you're taking? It does sound like whatever you're taking isn't doing the trick so definitely a review is called for.

so sorry to hear that youre having a rough time with your asthma at the mo but glad you found these forums

i would second what Philomela said. it defo sounds like your asthma isnt very well controlled so i would advise that you make an appointment with your gp/asthma nurse.

I agree with others. Sounds like you need to see GP/asthma nurse to help get better control of your asthma.

You're not alone though. I cough a lot and sometime to the point that I'm sick or almost sick, but a good dose of ventolin will usually really help me.
