ENT Appointment tomorrow

Well, I've got my ENT appointment tomorrow evening to see if I've got VCD.

Don't know if its good or bad timing that I've got a chest infection & pleurisy at the moment so struggling.

Lets see what tomorrow brings!

Good luck! Means they can see you when you're bad, though don't know if that makes it harder to see what's going on with the upper airways.

Hope it goes well angelica. Having the chest infection ect shount effect it. When i had mine done it didnt.

One thing i learnt after my first one was, dnt resist and pull ur head back. I did and then ended with a nurse restraining my head. My second one was better as i knew what to expect. Oo and take tissues. I ended up having a nose bleed!!

How did you get on at ENT appointment?

Hi asthmagirl!

Had the laryngoscopy (while a bit symptomatic) and the is no sign of VCD at all, in fact he said my vocal cords were perfect.

Weird as it sounds I'm pretty gutted as the VCD sounded like an easier fix than all the issues I've had since January being all my asthma.

Back to my respiratory cons I go but I'm not leaving his office now until he gives me a neb as I'm sick if struggling so much.

Glad it's not VCD. It is horrible to keep struggling isn't it.

I have home nebulisers and they have helped me so much, I do hope your consultant lets you have a neb.

I hope things start to improve for you soon.
