I had my lung function test done I ask technician if he could tell me he said i would have to wait see doctor. He already knew what my test said but doctor gets tests submitted to them but I don't get answers the same day. It b available when u go back to doctor

Thank you for your response. So more waiting. I have been stressing about this since December. But guess I am nearing the final hurdle.

It was not my Dr who requested this test it was requested by hospital Dr when I was admitted to hospital 1st December

That's even better that when u visited the hospital if you got an asthma specialist they should already have ur results. But I first stressed out about doing the test. But when the day came it was a piece of cake and the assure everything was alright and they will coach you through the process. But everything will b fine

Thank you again for responding I guess I will be nervous until tomorrow. Not sure who I have at moment. This will be my first out patient appointment since December. I have first appointment 23rd Febuary to see a consultant. So all very new to me.

I have made a few notes of question I have so I don't forget

You're welcome it's ok feel nervous but everything will be ok. Keep me updated

I will do

Hi I asked for outcome of results she said results will go to consultant for discussion which made me worry..don't know why I became tearful and overwhelmed. She gave me secretary number. After getting home called her and explained i have been worried about the outcome of my results since being told 1st December I would be having test. As it has taken over a month to get my asthma under control I think I am on a low. She will fax results to my GP. Contacted surgery who said call back in the morning and if they have any cancellation then I will be able to see GP. Fingers crossed I will know how my lungs are doing tomorrow if not then it will be next Tuesday

Hi,

After I have my lung function test, I usually get told the results when I've had a chest x-ray and seen my asthma doctor. If there's any changes in treatment, they usually send my doctor a letter, and they send me a copy! Hope that helps! 🙂 ps I have my test done in hospital, not my doctors, that's how I find out the same day!

Thank you for your response. I will hopefully know what's what when I see my Dr Tuesday..can't believe how stressed out I am about it.

Quite silly I know but I just want to know

You're welcome! Don't feel silly, and don't get stressed out. Is it your first time having it done? I must admit, that's the worst bit for me because it wears me out, but other than that, it's fine! 🙂

It was hard work and made me a bit breathless after..I am stressed out about the outcome. Was hospitalised December as could not breath...that has had terrible impact on me mentally...and thinking the worse as I don't know outcome of test.
