This means that when I see her on Tuesday I have a long list of things to discuss: asthma, bipolar, migraines, ridiculously easy bruising (OH concerned about this) and need for blood tests.

Have you got a double (or even triple) appointment slot booked? If not, it would be a good idea to get in touch with your surgery and ask for one - that way, your GP will know you have more than one issue to discuss and you won't risk annoying them (and the other patients waiting to see them!) by taking up more time than you've been allocated, which in turn will mean your appointment isn't rushed through.

Was just about to say the same Steve. Good advice there.

Piglet, good luck with the appt. May also be an idea to write down the issues/questions in priority order.

Also, you could get a message put on the appt by receptionists.

They won't allow people to book double appointments :( Luckily my GP is very accommodating and gives patients as much time as it takes. Admittedly she is always running very late, but to my mind it is worth it.

OH is coming with me to make sure I tell her everything that needs to be said.

The bipolar is the big thing really.

Have they not worked out that those two are linked?! Silly practice manager!
