Good luck Cathy and everyone else running the marathon! :) x

Thank you all so much - and thanks especially to Bex for starting the thread up!

Just going to jump in a nice relaxing bath to try to chill out a little bit - then it's off to try to get some sleep in preparation for the race.

If you are watching at home, my race number is 34281 and I will be running in AUK green vest, with grey 3/4 length tights. Keep an eye out - I understand one of the BBC interactive ""Red button"" cameras is trained constantly on the finish line.

Thanks again all!

Cathy x

Me and vicky will be there with our green pom poms cheering you on at the 18 mile mark! Good luck and hopefully see you tommorow!

Wow what a great day! Well done cathy and all the other runners was great meeting you all and the rest of the supporters! Nearly got run over by the runners trying to find the AUK stand hehe! I'm all cheered out now! Well done auk for the after race gathering meeting thing!

Well done peeps!

I saw Cathy! (Sounds like a t-shirt phrase!) at 12 miles! Woooo!

Well done nutter!

I saw quick glimpse of dr cathy looking good bless you xxx

Dear All,

I can't really find the words to really express my thanks to you all and everyone at AUK for making yesterday such an amazing day.

It was too hot, really, so I was slower than I had aimed for, but frankly I didn't care. I stopped and talked with my family and friends and the AUK supporters, as well as the Runners' World supporter point, enjoyed the music, got over-emotional at the children's choir singing at mile 17 (Something Inside So Strong - I nearly lost it) and loved the crowds who shouted out my name and cheered me on.

I finished the race in 5hrs 12mins, having seen ""me"", ""Elephant2001"" and ""clare22"" en route. Thanks for being there guys, it means a lot.

And to whomever texted in to the BBC - thank you sooo much! It was spotted by a couple of my friends, and by my Gran, who scribbled it down shorthand and wrote it out on my ""congrats"" card for me. I'm just watching through the BBC footage for myself now to see if I can see it!

Thank you all so much, for all the sponsorship and all the messages of support, and for AUK for letting me have the place which made it all possible.

Cathy

P.S. And yes, I am now madly trying to get the overloaded marathon website to work so I can enter the ballot for next year, and do it all over again!

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE ASTHMA UK FLORA LONDON MARATHON RUNNERS!!

First of all Congrats to all the Asthma UK FLORA LONDON MARATHON Runners!!

Great job!

Cheers Asthma UK for cheering us through the gruelling heat of the mega-tough 26miles yesterday!!

Really enjoyed all the training events and parties you guys organised.

Here's £515.02 for you guys, which will soon become £1030.04 once I submit my Matched Giving form in :-)

The page for the 2010 Virgin London Marathon here on the Asthma UK website now has a photo gallery of the 2009 event:

Click on the first of the four photos to start the gallery. There's a picture of CathBear (the caption will tell you which one!), and the photo taken of the supporters at the Isle of Dogs cheer point features both myself and webeditor!
