Hi Amanda,
Whenever they said this to me I always worried I've had to have a complete overhaul with scary blood tests (i am petrified of needles!) etc etc. Instead, a full asthma review will discuss how you feel your asthma is affecting your life (questions like: is it keeping you awake at night? how often do you use your reliever? is it preventing you from doing things you want to do?). They'll also take your PF and discuss the medication you are on, and how you feel it is working for you. They might even make you take your inhaler, to check you are using it properly.
By checking these things they can work out that you are on the right medication for you, or whether something else would be more effective. I think there might be a page on Asthma Reviews on the AUK website, there might be a bit more information on what to expect there - I can only offer up experience!
