Diagnosis confusion - maybe it's asthma, maybe it's pneumonia!

Wondered if anyone else had any issues with being diagnosed? I've just come out of hospital (2nd 4 night stay in 3 weeks) after a bad attack last Monday. Due to low indicators of asthma in my personal and family history, the consultant I saw thinks I might have had ""mild pneumonia"" which has resulted in asthma-like symptoms. I was ""officially"" diagnosed with asthma about 5 weeks ago, I'm a 37 yr old female.

I'm now awaiting an appt in 6 weeks time when some blood test results and further xrays may shed more light, hopefully!

Anyone else have experience of diagnosis issues?
