to be honest with you chrissie , i went to london at the end of may , been to stay at the nearest uni this week and came back to find there have been cases in the shool my college is attached to but i went in this morning as usuall and im certainly not cancelling my holiday to wales thats approching, i would personally say go but it has to be up to you , i dont think the risk is greater in london than it is anywhere else to be honest

im sure someone else will be along woth better advice soon xx

Chrissie, I wouldnt worry too much about visiting London - I have asthma myself so am very aware of the fears of picking up swine flu and I comute everyday on crowded trains and buses to get to London. There are a lot of people in London with swine flu, but there is a lot more people living here...it is all relevant.

I would recommend if you do travel here to simply keep hygine levels up, wash your hands regularly, use anti-bacterial hand gel on public transport and dont sit next to someone who is coughing/sneezing etc.

I'd just reiterate what others have said. I live in London and it doesn't worry me. Yes we have more cases, but we also have a lot more people so you would expect more cases. The numbers of cases have all been given as actual numbers rather than percentages of the population so do not actually tell you anything.

And, for once, asthma can be an advantage. Have an asthma cough on the bus/tube and people move away from you so you get a whole seat to yourself!!!

I would not worry about it as It is possibly everywhere now.

Some people may have it mildly and not feel that unwell at all so will still be circulating around.............. Though I have noticed this week at my local hospital, yesterday and today, that there were less people around?? (though that may be down to the appaling state of the car park, half of which they have built on and you now need a maze map to get to the disabled parking)

Just be sensible and become a buddy of a bottle of alcohol gel!
