Advice please

I have had the flu this week and I am starting to get better now. However I have been left feeling really chesty, I had a really violent dry cough. I went to the docs yesterday, he said that i probably had an infection in my throat which was irritating my windpipe and making me really wheezy, aggravating my asthma. He said that he could just here wheezing and there was not crackling. I have no temperature either so that was a good sign that it wasn't a chest infection. He gave me a new steroid inhaler to use over winter as a result.

However today I have woken up with no voice, my breathing does sound cracklier but the dry cough has gone but has been replaced with a chestier cough, albeit a lot less often/violent. I am not sure if I should go back again.

If you are in doubt always go and see the doctor! Never leave it!

plumie

i agree with plumie- couldn't have said it better. If you ever have concerns its always best to see the gp and then go home again than leave it too late and end up in costa.
