I got sent home from school today because I got triggered by aerosols. I ended up needing a nebuliser and have been put on Pred.
How can I avoid getting set off by aerosols because people spray them everywhere at school and on the bus? They're supposed to be banned at school but people still use them and the teachers dont do anything about it.
Sorry to hear that, have your parents/guardian write a letter and bring up the issue yourself. You can try explaining the situation to your fellow classmates. Unfortunately teachers can only enforce the rules whilst they're there and punishment only does so much.
Best bet: complain and keep complaining till they take a harder line on it

i do.. its an annoying problem but one that can be solved, *has own experience both at home and collage* the trick is to try and avoid the places where its happening, and get your parents to write a note explaining that you are chronically ill and should NOT have to put up with people being so inconsiderate like this...
thats the best advice i can think of and its a shame to hear that you are poorly and i hope you get better soon
*hugs*
Thanks,
I'll ask my mum to write a note. I'm not sure what to do about the bus. I'll see if I can do the same for the bus company.
Thanks for your help!

my new form are finally learning. i took them over at Easter. i now have 5 aerosols in my draw and they are not allowed back until half term. after half term any more 'accidental' sprays and they are binned. we will educate them
