Hi, I had one on loan for about 6 months after the operarion on my arm but in my case it made no difference at all to the pain or my asthma, the only thing I found and still have that helps is accupuncture.
However my mum swears by her tens machine so I guess it just depends on the person and the problem!

Hi there,
I have a TENS machine for pain in my hands and feet secondary to peripheral neuropathy. I find it quite helpful, but I understand that the effect is very varied between people.
I was initially loaned one by the Pain Management Centre at my local to see if it helped - when I found that it was helpful, I then had to buy one of my own as the Ceatre don't have enough for long term loans. They are not that expensive. I got mine from jpmproducts.co.uk/ although I believe they are also quite cheap in Boots. It's always worth seeing if you can borrow one first though, to avoid spending money on something that may not help.
Hope this helps
Em H
