Hi any one else on these nebules?I have to top up with 2.5ml ventolin. I've had chest pain and shortness of breath for 3 months which has put a stop to all my exercise. After the second one I'm feeling lots better, was getting really worried.Luckily I have avoided pred for now as it just doesn't work for me.

I find they work well and get better results with the atrovent than just salbutamol on it's own. Can last a Wee bit longer between nebs.Tho trying to use spiriva so I don't get too dependant on it. Taste disgusting. So need a drink straight after it. Keep an eye on shakes and dizzyness. I had to reduce the salbutamol dose. Hope they help.
Hi, I take these along with Seretide 500 and Ventolin and have found them really helpful. I get palpitations from time to time after nebbing, but otherwise no problems at all. Hope you feel better soon
Thanks, I'm stuck with 4 a day at the mo, and lungs still super grumpy. Trying to keep still inbetween as I don't want to go into hospital. Hubby has a flare up of crohns and is feeling really ill and been stuck in bed, don't want my Mum to travel 80 miles to sort out kids and I don't want them going into care as we are both ill, such a dilema, sure they could probably sort them selves out with a little help from hubby. What a mess! Will try the other medication when I'm better, keep coming off neb for a day to be told to go back on it.
Hope your ok

ratty rather than stopping your nebs you cantry spacing them further apart and that ur able to be more active before stopping them... i been taking prednisolone and nebs daily since october 08.. nebulising at least 3 times per day if i where to stop the nebs my quality of control would drop and i would constantly be multi dose and house bound. i told the dr that by taking nebs daily it allows me some activity/mobility and the ability to attend work (well try and attend work but thats another story). the dr (hospital professor) is in agreement with this and my work allows me to nebulise when needed. just getting out the house is a great achievement and moral booster.
regarding your kids how old r they. My wife has similar medical problems to your husband so i appreciate the stress and concerns you have for your kids . my kids are 11 and 13 and able to do most things except cooking and washing. ask social services for a home assessment or nxt time ur in hospital ask to speak to an occupational therapist they could refer you to communitty services. if you ever feel like screaming or needing a shoulder, feel free to message me
Thanks for the support Gussypoo, I'm barely managing to go 4 hourly and after 8pm I go into couch potato mode (apart from last night chasing flaming rabbit around the garden, just what I needed). My boys are 12 and 10 and can do everything but cook alone and wash clothes, Hubby has helped wash up tonight so I think he is realizing I'm struggling. I usually love cooking but food has been basic but needs must.
You sound like you have a nightmare time regarding health too, my eldest Son has IBS but has regular tests to check for crohns as Hubby's granddad had it too, hubby had IBS for years before they realized it was crohns. My youngest has brittle asthma like me.
We do try to keep fit when we can and my boys do lots of sport, youngest is running next week in the area athletics, he's managed to get on the team again.
