Hello... I have a Purple Accuhaler ... mine is called Seretide... is a long acting ""Preventer"" rather than a ""Reliever"" but the leaflet that came with your med will give you all the information you need... if you still need clarification...please speak to your asthma nurse or GP.
Keep well and look after yourself

Hiya
I have the inhaler too (assuming it is the same inhaler named Seretide as I don't know of any others which are purple). I was give it after the inhaled steroid on it's own (Flixotide) wasn't controlling my Asthma very well. As far as I know it contains the steroid component Flixotide and the long acting Bronchodilater Serevent. Used over a period of time the Serevent builds up and encourages your tubes in your lungs to stay open and the Flixotide treats the underlying inflammation.
It's worked really well for me and has really helped in keeping my symptoms under control and stopped me having attacks as bad and as frequently as I was doing.
Hope you get a good result too!!
Not sure if you've been told this before so please dont be offended or feel like im being patronising but this inhaler in particular is kind of known for causing oral thrush, so rinsing your mouth after using it might be an idea (if you do this anyway on the inhalers you already take then just obviously continue doing so). I tend to take mine just before I'm about to brush my teeth and haven't had any problems, touch wood!
Take Care
