got a new fostair inhaler
Hi, most of us rinse and gargle after using any inhaler. Personally I hate powdered ones, they seem to be more sticky to the oral soft tissues but with any inhaler I also rinse before inhaling to prevent anything sticking to teeth & skin. If I was having a powdered one now I'd definitely rinse and gargle between each puff. Try it to see if it helps.
If u don't like the powdered one,ask yr gp to swap u back x
I find that aim is important, even with a dpi. I had expected that because you such the powder it should go straight down the wind pipe but that's not really the case, you might need to practice your technique.
Well I finally feel like I'm not going mad as im on Fostair myself and have been for about 4 years but in the last 6 months I've been really struggling with my sore throat and it's been driving me mad what has been causing it, I have tried greek yogurt and its helped a little bit I'd really like an ideas to completely eradicate the problem
Fostair has been a game changer for me but I have stuck with the puffer rather than the dry powder. If you can, I would ask if you can try MDI aerosol puffer rather than the powder version? I have never got on with powder inhalers either. Hope you get a solution soon.
