I assume you mean Seretide accuhaler 500 strength? Dry powder in a round space ship !
As far as I know they still make them.
You may be getting a generic one as after 5 years of a new drug coming on the market, it can be made as a generic .
Fluticasone & Salmeterol are the same drugs that are in Seretide - you are gtting the same meds, just an own brand so to speak ( eg instead of nescafe you are getting Tesco instant coffee) There will be no difference in the drugs.
It is a money saving thing! generics are cheaper that the original brand.
Thank-you kate for explaining it to me, you have put my mind at rest now thanks.
If you check on your repeat script it will probably state salmeterol/fluticasone, I know mine now does, but still get seretide, guess it's who and what the chemist stocks, but they are one and the same as said below.
They better not change the ingredients else i am in trouble it only preventer i am not allergic to! I know they do when they go to being generic!
