Alvesco 160 inhaler (ciclesonide)

is anyone on this inhaler? had any problems or experiences with it?

HI there

I had my first and last dose of it earlier in the year.Are you aware it has ethanol in the inhaler-Im allergic to ethanol/alcohol based products.I ended up in hosp following an allergic reaction.Its the same ingredients as salamol inhalers which i cant use.

What are your symptons?

No I wasn't aware it had ethanol in. Don't think I am allergic.

I have been having problems getting it down - which is unusual as I've never had a problem with inhalers before. It seems to gather at the top of my chest and feel cloggy, if that makes sense. I'm also dipping during the night whereas my breathing had been constant. I was on Flexitide but got an amazing husky voice with lots of phleghm so this one was recommended as it's supposed to trigger in your lungs. I have just seen the doc and am going to try a spacer to see if that helps as i've only been on it a couple of weeks.

I initially used to be on Seretide but started with adrenal problems so they took me off steriod inhalers and put me on Spiriva and Serevent but are now introducing them again alongside the Spriva as asthma unstable.
