Theophylline

Does anyone know if you are ok to drive when taking Theophylline? I should have asked my asthma nurse.... I have been on this before but since I had no bloods done... the docs have no idea if I was taking an effective dose or not..... so now on round two....

I also take aminophyline tabs and have heard nothing to say you cant drive whilst taking them. I would say that its probably ok providing of course your feeling well enough in yourself and your not suffering too many side effects such as the shaking and things.

Ive looked through the instructions on my tabs doesnt mention not driving!

I've never heard anyone say you can't,

I take it, and I drive and my con knowes i drive

I have been on it for years and drive. Have never been told not to and never been told to inform the DVLA

It is quite safe to drive, however, some people expereince a few side effects nausea headache, bit tired etc in the first few days of taking it so you might choose not to drive if you find you are experiencing any of these.

Thanks for the info.... I was worried as I need to drive as part of my job....
