I was sitting looking at what a friend was listening to on msn last night and it got me thinking. What new albums/songs are people enjoying at the minute?
Personally I'm loving Hugh Laurie's album, Glee Presents: The Warblers and The Wanted.
What's other people listening to?

adele 21 is my current fave...I love the song"" like you.""
I am trying to put together a happy place selection on my i-pod, but all my favourite songs are let me see slightly depressing - gre up with indie music as main inspiration.
I'm in a podcasting phase at the moment. Mostly because I need something to keep my mind busy when torturing my body in the gym and music doesn't stop me thinking about how much I'm hating what I'm doing - for me listening to music is about being relaxed, happy and comfortable.
So, I'm raiding radio 4. In Our Time and Thnking Allowed make me use my brain and when I play The News Quiz I'm the only person laughing like a drain while using the treadmill. Maybe I'll get to like the exercise and then I'll be able to use the music more.
I'm an old headbanger so here is a list of my faves:
Deep Purple
Black Sabbath
Thin Lizzy
Bad Company
Judas Priest
Rush
But I also like newer stuff:
My Dying Bride
High On Fire
Beast In The Field
Viking Skull
There are loads more but I wouldn't want to bore you!!!
Oooooooooooooo Hugh Laurie, what is his new album like?
My list of music loves at the moment : Anything by Faithless, Chremco, Talking Heads, Snow Patrol, 80's stuff.
But feeling old now, and keep turning the volume down and wondering how the hell ""those youngens can listen to music so loud!"" And I am only 39 and 360 days old (or 40 this coming Friday).
Presently have YouTube on in the background. Brian May playing with a delay and somehow making it harmonize.
Most of the bands on Dave's list.
Newer stuff -
Anjunabeats - Razorfish (Above And Beyond's Progressive Mix)
PPK - Resurrection
Podcasts
Above and Beyond - TATW
State of Trance Official Podcast
Sorry Katina, Yes I am that little old lady in the Specsaver ad that drives around town with car bouncing to the beat. Louder and more bass the better.
I like Glee, although I think the storylines have been a bit samey recently, I love the singing/dancing. Have got 3 of the cds but think the first one (season 1) was the best.
I'm a rock chick and today has been a right wide range of music and I have also been helping my hubby write some reviews for his website rockandmetalnews.com
Today I have listening to:
Iron Maiden ( going to see them for the second time in July I can't wait as it is an early birthday/wedding anniversary present from my hubby)
Reece Kronlund not sure what to make of him but I enjoyed the guitar and drum work
Saxon (Saw them for the second time this month and I can't believe the difference in them since I last saw them back in 2005.)
Epica
Axel Rudi Pell (I want him to tour in the UK again close to home so I can go and see him again and hopefully get his signature and a picture with him again)
My class won't change for PE to anything other than 'Don't stop believing' followed by 'Defying Gravity' - so would have to say that at the moment I am listening to Glee season 1 quite a lot right now, loved the Fleetwood Mac episode last week!
also listening to Mumford and Sons although definitely not with the kids! Adele, and anything and everything on the radio
Gleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Today I am listening to anything but Magic FM anything with a mellow sound to it. Magic FM is what my baby grandsons nod off to. Which is a bit of a surprise as I remember their mums (my DDs) being into Idlewild and Garbage. Age 30 plus, the new middle age?
GrannyMo (going out to cruise the streets and blast the car speakers with Further down the Spiral - Nine Inch Nails)
I am listening to Sam Cooke- A change is gonna come, he is a legend and his music transends the centuries. Absolutely awesome I can listen all day.

Not really listening to anything in particular atm, had iPod on shuffle earlier with all sorts of random things on it.
I'm off work today so as I have the house to myself I decided to listen to some ambient music. Not usually my cup of rosie but needs must when stressed.
I once stayed in a shop longer just because they started playing Don't Stop Believin'. Then I bought a dress - obviously good tactic by the shop!
Not listening to anything atm except the sound of my own breathing which is not a great soundtrack. Going to go eat some chocolate pudding and watch a ridiculous chickflick while hopefully ignoring extra noises.
Today I listened to Memories of Machines - sort of post rock with a nice guitar. Possibly a calming alternative to ambient? Then I used Starone's latest (an Arjen Lucassen production) to liven me up afterwards
Philomela - imo its official. Chocolate is the answer to all difficult situations and problems. I hope it worked!
