Che part 1 shows Che Guevara having to deal with his asthma whilst fighting in the jungles of Bolivia- without treatment of any kind too
The only one I can think of is 'The hand that rocks the cradle'. Sorry!

Can't think of any films but have you heard of the author Noel Streatfeild (one of my favourites, author of Ballet Shoes)? She wrote an autobiography called A Vicarage Family about her childhood, and her sister had quite bad asthma - though it was in the early 1900s so I imagine it can't have been very severe or brittle as she wouldn't have survived (and grown up to be an illustrator) - the treatment was basically non-existent, though she seems to have been quite lucky to have had an understanding family and school who worked round it as best they could.
signs - I think that is what it is called about aliens invading earth - little boy is asthmatic and it saves him from the aliens.
'Casino Royale' James Bond with the silver inhaler cover
'As Good As It Gets' Jack Nicholson film
Thought I'd remembered seeing this before blog.asthma.org.uk/asthma_i...
I wouldn't recommend 'the hand that rocks the cradle' . For a start she wheezes every time she gets upset at anything which reinforces the idea that asthmatics are all overly emotional. Oh and her inhaler technique is crap which possibly is the reason why she ends up in ICU ! It's not the best asthma acting I've seen !!! Although I did see a severe asthmatic on the TV programme Casualty who was on a nebulizer that wasn't switched on & producing no mist !!! No wonder they didn't get better !!!
