hi all,

I have RA and was on bio similar amgevita for the first and second trimester, stopped at 28weeks. I was told by the pediatrician that the baby cannot have live vaccine for 6 months. My rheumatologist said if the baby is full term, can have live vaccines after 28days.

I am confused.

Can you share your experience with using biologics during pregnancy and the live vaccine schedule for the baby?

Wendy

The paediatrician is correct. These are the NHS Guidelines

8. Any infant who has been exposed to immunosuppressive treatment from the mother either in utero during pregnancy or via breastfeeding should not have any live vaccination for at least six months eg BCG and rotavirus cannot be given.
