Living in Devon, close to Cornwall, I would say that whilst we often are warm here in the South west, we do get our fair share of rain! (We still have a green lawn….). Consider the drier areas too such as Kent, Norfolk and Suffolk. They may have fewer hills but also have less rain!

Thank you any other areas do let me know ! Thank youManchester is always damp ! Because we are also surrounded by the pennines..so less hills = less rain

Hi I believe it gets windy and some rain possibly more sun than greater manchester though..my joints are great in dry heat but not in damp or windy weather. I was thinking of brixham /paignton area but I guess that's hilly too..first trip to Cornwall and online it says the climate is better there but I guess I need to talk to people who live there too...

Have you looked at the cost of housing in Cornwall? I understand it is quite high along with rental.

I had a brief look at new builds however I'm unfamiliar with the best areas to get around easily no idea if pricier there

Cornwall and Devon are so lovely...would love to live there and we go a few times a year. However I have found it not as warm ,as the South East where I live, with plenty of rain! Good for the soul though...

Hi yes good for the soul ..I think the key is avoid damp conditions as much as possible as iam definitely worse on damp and windy days
